The professional golfers, like Tiger Woods, David Duval and many others are said to regularly practise yogic postures.

Many golfers say that yogic postures help them to keep a healthy and flexible body and maintain a mental calmness that is so important in a golf game.

From the physical point of view:

In order to play a good game,

A golf player must have:

Physical strength & flexibility,

Balance and good posture.

As all golfers know, there is a mental side of the game.

They must have

A clear and tranquil mind,

Power of concentration through out the 18-hole game,

Ability to overpower any frustration and fear, and

Confidence in themselves.

Regular practice of yogic postures will help in

Bringing strength and flexibility in the joints, muscles, tendons and ligaments.

Increasing power of concentration.

Facilitating proper breathing that balances the nervous system.
