YOGASON

The ethical discipline®

BENEFITS OF YOGA

  • Important Notes to Remember:

  1. Yogic discipline is not a group activity but an individual one.

  2. Yoga needs commitment and regular practice. It is a non-competitive activity.

  3. Your body is not like anyone else’s body.

  4. What you can do, it is perhaps impossible for someone else to do the same.

  5. It is a game of inches; you improve by slowly inching forward.

  6. You are developing internal skills that cannot be measured by how far you can bend your bodies.

  7. Yoga bans hurry from all its methods and favours the slow-but steady approach.

Yogason is a tool that you can use to improve your overall sense of well being. You will not see the results overnight though

It is an investment that you will make for your own well-being.

Physically you become more flexible as you do the physical exercises; and with mental exercises, i.e. meditation, your mind will become calmer, clearer, concentrated and alert.

There is a sense of being in control with your own body and mind.

Benefits:

Asanas or yogic postures will require both mental and physical disciplines.

All the poses have a psycho effect on the mind.

Yogic exercises will:

Ease tensed muscles, stretch and strengthen them.

Tune up internal organs and relax nerves.

Improve flexibility of joints.

As we do the poses, we also train the mind to focus upon different parts of the body as the object of concentration.

Asanas will prepare one’s body for practising meditation.

Pranayama or breathing exercise, the science of breath, helps the mind to become calm and improves concentration, health, skin tone and energy.

Body poses that control the body and breath that regulates the vital forces prepare the mind for meditation.

Meditation is the trance state of our psychophysical phenomena,

that is, mind & body.

MEDITATION will help you to:

Cultivate your mind.

Change your attitude, the way of your thinking.

Increase your concentration in what you do.

Allay fear and negative thoughts that cause anxiety.

Develop faith, truthfulness and understanding with others.

Bring mental peace and calmness.

Develop an inner harmony.

Analyse your own self and understand yourself.

Develop self-restraint and patience.

Increase tolerance.

Bring a sense of right proportion.
